The past isn’t dead and buried, yet.

Alena Ramos was excited for her first trip from Colombia to the U.S.  She was looking forward to the sights, the shopping, and giving up her drug cartel boyfriend to the FBI for a witness protection deal.  Then her safehouse is hit and she’s on the run again, thinking that there’s no one left that can save her from Carlos.

Mae Wright was minding her own business, more or less, when she learned that a nearby militia group had acquired a dangerous new weapon.  With the threat of an imminent terrorist attack, and no other  way for her team to gain the intel to stop it in time, she makes an offer to a stranger.

When the mysterious billionaire steps in with a promise of safety in return for one little dangerous task, Alena doesn’t really have the option of saying no if she wants to survive.  Her life has always been unusually difficult, but 2045 will test her like no year before.
